We are aware that in the modern world there are fewer opportunities for integration. El Tesoro has consolidated as a meeting place. By merging shopping, nature and fun, it offers a real shopping park to the city.
Since its inception, El Tesoro Shopping Park has been an example of proactive business acumen. In 1996, in the midst of a very profound economic crisis, the commercial and real estate sectors united their strengths with an optimistic sight and the idea to give form to the most complete and modern commercial center in the country.
El Tesoro opened its doors on November 25th, 1999 and almost immediately became a true phenomenon of commercial positioning. Seven years later, the shopping park opened its second stage, giving way to another 180 stores and consolidating as the commercial center with the best brands and stores by famous designers.
By the end of 2011, the Shopping Park will open its third stage, which will incorporate 80 commercial stores, 1,200 parking lots, 10,000 m2 for fun and leisure time, a modern events center with capacity for 1,370 persons and a medical tower with second level of complexity.
In its three stages (1999, 2006 and 2011), el Tesoro has maintained its unmistakable architectural style, in which light is the protagonist, the sky can be seen through the domes, surfaces exhibit colorful details and ample flower boxes offer a natural and serene sensation.
Without any doubt, El Tesoro is one of the largest and most important commercial projects developed in Medellin, a true example of vigor, business vision and faith in the future.
